We are growing and our now enjoying nearly 12 years in our current Fishers Location.  Please check below to see if you qualify and if you qualify and are interested in joining our staff, please follow instructions below. Thank you for your interest.

North Star, has been serving the Castleton /Fishers area for 37 years and has a very nice long standing customer base and our business is thriving.    We are looking for another part time person to join our team, to be working in the main floor of the store and working closely with our manager, Janet,  and also helping Pam with her appointments.

6- 10 hours per week. Availability between 10-6 on during the weekdays, and we are in interested in help in particular on Wed, Thursday, and Friday. And this person would  be willing to work 1 Saturdays per month.  This person could start in now.

The responsibilities will be to greet customers, wait on customers, being able to answer basic questions about nutrition and nutritional supplements (we will help train you), ring out customers, answer phones, mark incoming stock (price checking and shelving new merchandise for sale), order product (product lines and specific areas of the store will be assigned to you to be the guardian angel of). Help with Pam’s consulting practice. We all share the responsibility to maintain a clean orderly, functional workspace.

Qualifications for our new staff member are:

Someone looking for a position they can stay in for at least 2 years.

Someone flexible with schedule. Hours would be set each week and might be available possibly more hours some weeks.

Who can be on time and have an ability to work a regular schedule each week year round. Someone who has a good history of missing very few days of work in the past.

Someone who is available weekdays (specifically Wed, Thurs, and Fri (between 10-6) and 1 Saturday’s per month (10-2 or when classes are going perhaps 9-2).

Retail experience is a must (with cash register experience)

Able to easily multi-task, and very good with details.

Already interested in health and nutrition with basic knowledge & eager to learn.

Have good health habits and already taking nutritional supplements.

Someone with basic computer skills is necessary.

Someone healthy, cheerful, and dependable.

Prefer someone who lives within a 20 minute drive of our store.

Someone naturally good with people.

We are looking for a healthy person, who is excited to share their enthusiasm for their healthy lifestyle and learning with our customers. Pam, the owner has most often hired from our customer base, people who are familiar with and use our products, and she and Janet will be the one hiring for this position.
