ETPS Electro Acupuncture
ETPS: Endorphins – Nature’s Pain Relievers
The human body has a bio-energy flow along 12 main meridians, being related to specific organs and systems. Research can well document classical acupuncture points on these meridians have a close nerve correlation in the body. It is also well known that acupuncture, trigger, and motor points display a lower electrical resistance in relation to their surrounding skin. Therefore, all these therapeutic points may be electrically detected on the skin’s surface with a great deal of accuracy using electrical point finders such as ETPS that measure variances in skin resistance.
When one examines the acupuncture “channels” or “meridians” and compares them to nerve pathways – called dermatomes – there is obviously a very high correlation. Close examination of an acupuncture chart also shows channels starting from the neck and lower back and traveling down the arms and legs. This is quite an astounding comparison since nerves were not formally “discovered” or traced until thousands of years after acupuncture meridians had been used. In the mid 1970s, it was scientifically discovered that naturally occurring pain relieving opiates, called endorphins, could be released with acupuncture needling and electro-acupuncture stimulation of specific low frequency. These natural pain relievers circulate and assist in relieving pain and speeding up the healing process.
ETPS stands for Electro Therapeutic Point Stimulation, a non-invasive therapy that applies concentrated, low frequency, DC stimulation to special combinations of acupuncture points, triggers points, and contracted motor bands. By integrating Eastern and Western approaches, and applying this specialized form of acupuncture stimulation, you get a really nice approach to pain management that helps a lot of people find relief.
ETPSSM has been a remarkable success in helping relieve chronic pain. The results are so impressive using this approach, that complete or substantial relief from pain may often occur in the first or second treatment. Most clients require 2-10 treatments for lasting results, with some chronic clients requiring ongoing treatments in the home setting. ETPSSM can be individualized to any client’s needs and applied non-invasively in almost any setting, indoor or out, usually within 5-15 minutes. ETPSSM stimulation is significantly effective. Pamela Alboher-Ray is certified by the State of Indiana in Massage Therapy, and has trained with ETPS since 2005. She has attended 7 trainings 3 of which were with the founder of ETPS, Bruce Hocking, Doctor of Acupuncture, MDMA, who has won international awards with his expertise with acupuncture. A body of research indicates that micro-currents can help “switch on” or accelerate cellular healing mechanisms. Micro-current therapy, especially through point-specific probe treatments, has an effect similar to acupuncture.
Dr. Pamela’s Body Work Sessions can incorporate energy body work, ETPS, Reflexology, Thai Medical Massage, Energy Body Work, and Aromatherapy. Many people report feeling good and reduced pain at the end of their session and the activation of energy circuits keeps on working long after the session is completed.

Ion Foot Cleanse

Recharge Your Body’s Battery with the B.E.S.T. Energy Spa
The B.E.S.T. (Bio-Electric Stimulating Technique) energy spa is a natural health device that is a simple and powerful way to cleanse and detoxify your body on a cellular level.
Today we are exposed to the greatest load of toxic material in the history of our planet. To maintain good health it is essential to detoxify our body periodically from chemicals, preservative, additives, herbicides and pesticides that are ever present in our air, water, and food. These chemical toxins store in joints, organs, arteries, nerves and tissues. As chemicals are in the cells then the cells are unable to perform at maximum function setting the stage for infections, allergies, immune dysfunction and disease to flourish.
How does this foot bath work? The B.E.S.T. energy spa gives the water and our bodies an ion charge and energizes on a cellular level and helps the body release waste products easier. Through osmosis these toxins are drawn out of the body through the pores of your feet. At the end of a session the footbath water will be discolored, and some of this discoloration is minerals in the water and some is the release from skin. The color changes in the water will vary between clients and between sessions, and it may change a lot, it may change very little. This is normal. The machine is working fine and the body will be absorbing energy. When slight color changes occur, the body may choose to detox through the urinary system and or colon rather than through the lymph system vial the skin during a foot bath session.
How Is An Ion Cleanse Session given? The person receiving the session relaxes comfortably while their feet are bathed in a container of warm ionized water.
Colors and Objects in the Water. Many colors and objects appear in the water during the session. These colors are caused by the reaction between the toxins and particles in the water, the metals in the array, and the toxins, being drawn out. The color produced by these reactions varies from one geographic region to another. As a rule, these “regional toxins” contribute to 20-40% of the residues found in the water, the remaining 60-80% are believed to be toxins pulled from the body. The water based toxins do not stick to the side of the bucket and array, however the substances pulled from the body will form a sticky ring around the bucket.
This system re-balances and realigns the energy meridians in the body. The most this machine can be used is once every 2 days for 30 days, then 21 days rest from water bath and then a schedule can be resumed. Individuals that are pregnant should avoid using this system as well as anyone with an organ transplant or battery operated implants, such as a pacemaker. Hello From Dr. Pamela’s Desk
This is now the last week in February 2011. Old Man Winter has been with us for several months and I notice the buds on some of the trees in my yard, and I hear the new songs of the many birds about. Spring is on the way. We have had a very busy winter at North Star. I just returned from an advanced course in electro-acupuncture. I have now been doing this work for 5 years and continue to get some very good results. For more information on ETPS go to www.etpseducation.com. There will be another beginners class in Indy March 12-13. Mostly the classes are for practitioners. Mark and I have begun loading the shopping cart and hope to have it up and running for you to purchase by mid march. I am currently working on a new handout on brain function for adults and children. I will post it to website and you will be able to pick up a copy at North Star by March 1. You still have one more week to purchase the Tumeric caps on sale the month of Feb.
Best Wishes, and thank you for helping us mark 11 years in our current Fishers location. Yours in great health, Pam
